This one changed the way we think of bourbon, all because one man changed the way he thought about making it. Bill Samuels, Sr., simply wanted a whisky he would enjoy drinking. Never bitter or sharp, Maker’s Mark® is made with soft red winter wheat, instead of the usual rye, for a one-of-a-kind, full-flavored bourbon that’s easy to drink. To ensure consistency, we rotate every barrel by hand and age our bourbon to taste, not time. Each and every bottle of Maker’s® is still hand-dipped in our signature red wax at our distillery in Loretto, Ky., just like Bill, Sr., would have wanted.

Having left Cooley Distillery after its takeover by Jim Beam, Jack and Stephen Teeling have founded the first distillery in Dublin after 125 years in 2015. They also release excellent whiskeys from the stock they kept from Cooley. The single grain has totally matured in ex Californian Cabernet wine casks. Smooth and fruity with a demerara character, this single grain has a satin-like texture and displays lovely notes of peaches and pears. It has been awarded the Best single Grain by Whisky Magazine in 2014.
Bottled at barrel proof, Maker’s Mark Cask Strength ranges from 108 to 114 proof depending on the barrels. Surprisingly smooth, this bourbon retains the signature, front-of-the-palate flavors of Maker’s Mark while amping up the vanilla and rich oak notes.
Aroma: Big oak, vanilla and caramel
Taste: Robust, warm texture with notes of caramel, vanilla and spice
Finish: Long finish on front of tongue, harmonious with no harsh bitterness
Dad’s Hat, a Pennsylvania based rye whiskey distillery are attempting to revive the reputation of Pennsylvania Rye by creating a small batch whiskey with a focus on quality and flavour.
Our release is a 6 Year Old bottled at natural cask strength, and we’’ve filled just 289 bottles.
Rye whiskey was previously the whiskey of choice in the US, with Pennsylvania’s distillers making millions of gallons a year.
During prohibition, bootleggers created poorly made substitutes for Pennsylvania Rye, which was very damaging to its reputation. After prohibition passed it unfortunately never quite recovered, with people turning to Bourbon instead.
The distillery, founded in 2011, creates an ‘old-school’ Pennsylvania style Rye – 80% grain, 20% malt (15% barley, 5% rye malt), no corn, and a sweet mash recipe. They use local farms for their grains, temperature controlled fermenters, doing a five-seven day low and slow ferments to develop a complex flavour.
NOSE
Rye bread and allspice, but then very fruity! Dried fruit; cranberries, apricots, and chocolate covered raisins. The spices return with a hint of mint, and some wood char.
TASTE
Silky mouthfeel. Fruity and spicy with sour cherries, and cranberries. Woody spices; clove, a hint of cinnamon, and charred oak. A medium length finish that’s full of chocolate.
A sherry cask matured stalwart of Speyside, the 18 year old Macallan has been a luxurious favourite for decades. This edition, still matured exclusively in Oloroso sherry casks.

Mandolás is a surprising wine. Its essence is young, ground-breaking, revolutionary and not frightened to explore… and is able to enrich the winemaking tradition of a region as distinguished as Tokaj.
A different wine that has managed to break from the past, giving impetus to Tokaj’s new present, where dry white wines, led by Mandolás, are proving to be ground-breaking.
This wine’s name comes from the old way of referring to the vineyard from where it comes. Mandolás is one of the Oremus vineyards and it is only planted with Furmint, the noblest variety of the region.
During the weeks leading up to the harvest, the state of ripening of the grape is systematically checked and the golden yellow, health and ripe bunches are picked.
A must with great density is obtained using a delicate and gentle pressing. Fermentation is in new wood barrels, which are carefully prepared, and takes between 8 and 12 days.
The wine is aged in 136-litre small barrels, which are typical of the region.
