Here we have the entry-level release from the Kavalan distillery in Taiwan. Based in Yilan County, Kavalan takes advantage of the country’s tropical climate to speed up the maturation process and create a flavourful spirit. The Select No.1 has been aged in refill casks and holds sweet and tropical notes, followed by a long finish with a hint of smoke. It celebrates master blender, Ian Chang, and is an excellent introduced to Taiwanese single malt.
