Having left Cooley Distillery after its takeover by Jim Beam, Jack and Stephen Teeling have founded the first distillery in Dublin after 125 years in 2015. They also release excellent whiskeys from the stock they kept from Cooley. The single grain has totally matured in ex Californian Cabernet wine casks. Smooth and fruity with a demerara character, this single grain has a satin-like texture and displays lovely notes of peaches and pears. It has been awarded the Best single Grain by Whisky Magazine in 2014.
In 1783, the Evan Williams opened Kentucky’s first distillery on the banks of the Ohio River. Many years and barrels later, they still produce Bourbon the right way, using traditional, time-honoured methods. Evan Williams Bottled-in-Bond is aged under government supervision and meeting the exact requirements for a Bottled-in-Bond Bourbon. It has all the kick you expect—but still goes down smooth.
Complex aromas and flavours of stone fruit, caramel, vanilla, and oak; expected kick of heat comes through on the dry finish.
The full flavours of this spirit can be enjoyed in a variety of ways. Try it neat, on the rocks or mixed in your favourite bourbon cocktail.
This wine is produced using the RIPASSO technique, which is intentionally more restrictively applied in relation to the standard production method. The wine is obtained by going over again, once only, the premium Valpolicella Classico over the same quantity of Amarone marc. As a result, an authentic local wine is produced which elegantly exhibits a delightfully complex fruity aroma and spicy tones complemented with a good acidity and just the right alcohol content.
The grapes are picked by hand and then immediately destemmed and crushed, prior to maceration at controlled temperatures and undergoing complete alcoholic and malolactic fermentation. In the beginning of March the Valpolicella Classico wine is pumped over the pomace from the Amarone and consequently references.
A deep intense ruby red color, with hints of red fruit, spices and cocoa on the nose. Warming and smooth on the palate, nicely balanced by rounded tannins.
