A marvellous high-rye bourbon here from the Rabbit Hole Distillery in Louisville, Kentucky! This expression has been dubbed Heigold, inspired by a German stonecutter from the 1800s who settled in Louisville. The whiskey itself is made from a mash bill of 70% corn, 25% malted German rye, and 5% malted barley. After distillation, it’s matured in slowly toasted and charred barrels, and eventually bottled up at 47.5% ABV.
