This estate has developed into one of the most renowned and successful wineries in Chile and South America since the establishment of Vina Montes and the introduction of the first Montes Alpha wine in 1988. With the help of his three partners, Aurelio Montes continues to run the company with the same zeal as on the first day. The Syrah grapes come from plots on granite slopes in the Apalta area, in the Colchagua Valley. These slopes, with very thin soils, give extremely concentrated grapes.
