Ledaig Sinclair Series is named after John Sinclair, who was an innovative kelp merchant, in 1797 he applied for a lease of land known as Ledaig. After Sinclair’s first application was rejected, he persevered and a year later the distillery was established.
This new release is part of the ‘Sinclair Series’ with the initial maturation in ex-Bourbon barrels, following further time spent in Spanish ex-Rioja wine barrels. This has imparted a lovely colour and dark fruit notes to compliment the smokey style malt.
