Situated on the rugged west coast of the island, Kilchoman has quickly earned a reputation for its commitment to traditional whisky-making methods and its dedication to producing high-quality single malt Scotch whisky. This release underwent its entire maturation in ex-Sauternes wine casks, and is bottled at 50% ABV. Anthony Wills, Kilchoman Founder, chose a mix of fresh and refill Sauternes barriques from 2017 and 2018. This selection achieves a perfect harmony of buttery sweetness, barbecued pineapple, candied ginger, and floral peat smoke. Its rich and complex flavour profile, born from the careful selection of Sauternes casks, exemplifies the artistry and dedication that Kilchoman brings to whisky-making.
