This is the flagship expression from the Kavalan Distillery in Taiwan. First released in 2008, the Classic is a single malt whisky that’s been aged in ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks. Though the stocks used are relatively young in age, the tropical Yilan County climate speeds up the rate of maturation, giving this a much more complex character. It’s full of mango, vanilla, oak spice and cream, with a sweet and floral aroma. A fantastic sipper that works great in a highball.
