A rare Glen Spey bottling, courtesy of Diageo’s Flora and Fauna series. Most of Glen Spey’s output is reserved for blends, so it’s exciting to see a 12 year old single malt release from the Rothes-based distillery. This is an approachable Speyside whisky, that’s smooth and light, with a touch of sweetness. There’s white grapes, fresh grass and honey on the palate, with a dry and oaky finish. A really tasty dram.
