Chateau Leoville Barton is a renowned vineyard situated in the heart of Saint-Julien, Gironde. Bearing the prestigious Grand Cru Classification II of 1855, this vineyard spans 45 hectares and is planted with 72% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot, and 8% Cabernet Franc. Known for its exceptional terroir and ideal weather conditions, it is considered one of the best regions in the world for viticulture.
The 1993 Leoville-Barton stands out as one of the biggest, richest, and most impressive wines of the vintage. It features a saturated black-purple colour and dense, forest-like aromas with rich blackcurrant and chocolate notes. The wine boasts excellent ripeness and depth, with good glycerine content and firm tannins on the finish. This exceptionally well-endowed 1993 vintage is still evolving in the bottle.
